Julie Elliott MP Opens New Unit at Marigold Nursing Home

Recently the staff, residents and families at Marigold Nursing Home were delighted to welcome Julie Elliott, the Member of Parliament for Sunderland Central, to open our new general nursing unit. 

We certainly enjoyed welcoming Julie Elliott to Marigold Nursing Home, paying a visit and having a chat with staff and residents alike. Julie and nursing home manager, Bijumon, have known each other for a over ten years now and it was wonderful showing her round Marigold.

Overall it was an enjoyable day for all and it was great to see local politicians getting involved in an integral part of the Grangetown and wider Sunderland community.

The new addition to Marigold contains a specialist palliative care unit, enhancing our ability to offer a higher level of dedicated and comprehensive care to our residents and their families.
